Super Seven
[Japanese|English]
Super Seven
The Lotus Seven is a real sports car designed by Colin Chapman,
the founder of the Lotus, and debued at London Motor Show back
in 1957. The Sevens are intended to be sold in kit, and the fun of
assembly is left to back yard build-owners.
With a hight of 2ft 3-1/2in to the top of the scuttle the Seven is
a dwarf aomong other traffic. The Super Seven is a reserved name
of a version of the car fitted with a Cosworth-tuned Ford Consul
Classic 315 engine, which is enough power for a lot of fun on the bends.
After managing about 3000 Sevens, Chapman officially hands over
the Seven to Caterham's Graham Nearn in June 1973. The Caterham
is still constantly sending the Super Sevens in the World.
